Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information DonoChain (the "Service", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. DonoChain is a non-custodial tool for receiving cryptocurrency tips and showing on-stream alerts. We never hold your funds or private keys. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — the email address you sign up with, your chosen username, display name, and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider; we never see it in plain text).
• Profile information — your Solana payout wallet address, optional social links, and any profile picture or banner you upload.
• Tip & alert data — for each tip, the on-chain transaction signature, the donor name and message the Supporter chooses to attach, the amount and currency, its USD value, our fee, and a timestamp. Donor names and messages are provided by Supporters and are shown on stream.
• Uploaded media — profile images, banners, and (for verified accounts) alert/soundboard audio clips you upload.
• Technical data — we temporarily process IP addresses to rate-limit requests and prevent abuse. Our hosting provider may log standard request metadata.

Supporters who send tips do not need a DonoChain account. The information tied to a tip comes from the public blockchain transaction and the name/message the Supporter signs.

3. How we use information

• To operate your account, public tip page, dashboard, and on-stream alerts and widgets.
• To verify tips on-chain, record them for your stats and activity feed, and calculate our service fee.
• To screen uploaded images for prohibited content before they are shown.
• To secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

4. Blockchain data is public

Solana is a public blockchain. Wallet addresses, transaction amounts, and the on-chain memo (donor name and message) are permanently visible to anyone and are outside our control. Do not include information in a tip that you want to keep private. We cannot edit or delete anything recorded on the blockchain.

5. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of providers to run the Service:

• Supabase — authentication, database, file storage, and realtime alert delivery.
• Vercel — website hosting and serverless functions.
• Amazon Web Services (Rekognition) — automated screening of uploaded images.
• Solana network & RPC providers — to build and verify transactions.
• CoinGecko — public SOL price data (no personal information is sent).

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and may store it on servers outside your country (for example, in the United States).

6. Cookies & local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember dashboard preferences (such as your last-used tab). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and tip records for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile, alerts, and uploaded media, and associated tip records are deleted or de-identified. Note that on-chain transactions cannot be deleted. We may retain limited information where required for legal, security, or accounting purposes.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider, privileged database columns are locked down, and administrative actions require authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can edit most profile information from your dashboard, and you can request account deletion by contacting us. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above, and continued use of the Service means you accept the revised policy.
